graBffiti making poke with advice of Confucius "The cautious seldom err" China President Xi Jinping got a blue glove painted over his hand that is exchanging a diplomatic handshake with North Korea Kim Jong Un

以約失之者,鮮矣 as Confucius said. If you are silly enough not to learn Chinese yet, here is that translation: “The cautious seldom err”

China “communists” dig deep into China history lately for the foundation of their ideology. Confucius is back and his teaching are to be woven into the fabric of Chinese society – actually it is dusting off the fabric. Hopefully into the fabric of the Chinese state machine as well so the the master won’t be betrayed.

Above you can see the very first example of implementing the ancient Confucian rule – 以約失之者,鮮矣 – (“The cautious seldom err”) into the official Foreign Exchange Policy of China. Note that the color of the glove is not accidental because the closest dollar store had only blue rubber gloves. No. No. China Foreign Ministry officials deliberately went blue – the blue is the color of United Nations, remember.
